The inquiry by the stewards into the circumstances connected with the running of Archie is considered jdost important, and it is probable tfout i they will find that fraud has been practised with reference to his running ; and, m the event of such being proved, the stewards may declare bete off. Should this be re* ferred to, it would seriously afiect the 'bookmakers, as they have large books both on the Cnp and Derby, ,m wJhich Archie was picked for the latter race. The stewards of the Jockey Club, filter careful consideration, have found that Archie's running m the Derby was due to an eiror of judg« ment oh the part of Huxley, the jotfkey, m keeping behind so long, »nd although censuring him (Huxley) have dismissed the charge,
