Renter's Telegrams. Sydney, Doc. 7. At this afternoon's sitting of the Convention Mr Whitaker gave notice of motion, That steps should be taken to prevent the- landing of criminals in'the colonies. The motion of Mr Dibbs, Colonial Treasurer 1 of New South Wales, requiring the various Governments to be pledged to submitto their several Legislatures the various resoultions that may be come to by the Convention, was agreed to* and that of Mr Giblin, Premier of Tasmania, for the appointment of the Premiers of Victoria, New South Wales, South Australia, Queensland, and New Zealand as a committee to carry out the objects of and summon the Coni ference when necessary, was also i adopted. Sydney, Yesterday. Consideration of the Federal Council Bill concluded this morning and a draft was adopted by the Con« vetition The Hon K. B. Leeve, member of the Legislative Council of Fiji had an interview with Maj>r Atkinson for the purpose of representing to him the desire of Europsais m Fiji for incorporation of the Islands with the colony of New Zealand. Major Atkinson leaves for New Zealand by the Haur>to on the 18th inst and Mr Whitaker by thb Wair* arapa on the 20 th.
