A Lottery Freak.
A well«authenticated lottery story was recently narrated by the feuilletonist Hierouymus Lorm. Some years ago, ?n Bsrlin, a poor orphan girl dreamt three times running of a certain number, which appeared to her m luminous figures, while an unearthly voice, repeating over and over again, " This number will win the first price m the Class Lottery," rasounded m her nr'nd's eye. She impa-ted the visioa to her guardian, and be repaired to the Royal Lottery Oxfiee aud inquired what had become of the ticket bearing the number, m question, receiving answer that it bad been disposed of to a well-known lottery agent m Konigsberg. He forthwith wrote to this person, en<* closing the price of the ticket, and requesting tbat it shoud be forwarded to him by return of post. In reply to his application he was informed that that particular ticket had been sold over the counter a day or two befoi-e, to whom the agent could not say. He, howey;er,"; en> closed m, his letter another lottery, ticket, which he naively recojmiqended as *' an excellent aad highly promising nuriibar."
