STOCK REPORTS.
To the Editor. Sib, — I was jrlad to note that you have adopted the course of giving us country settlers correct reports of stock sales held m the district. I am a pretty regular attendant at these sales, and I have sometimes been intensely surprised to notice the difference between the prices quoted m these reports, and the ones which I knew were actually realised. These reports have been very misleading, and often caused settlers to fix too high reserves on their stock and m other ways damaged their interests. You could do this district no better service i *han you have done, by showing the real state of affairs, and I trust these reports of facts which come under your own observation will continue to form a feature m your valuable jonrnal. We want no more bogus reports, and have had quite enough of these attempts to <( rig the market." We understand straightforward dealing much better. lam <fee., '<i'-..- A. Gbazieb. ■ [We may mention that the above is one out of many letters couched m similar terms.— Ed. M. D, Times.]
