Per Press Association. Dunedio, March 27. A man named Michael Whe'.an has died at Hamilton diggings, m Manitoto County, under peculiar circumstances. Whelan, who was only 24 yea v s ot age, bad been on the spree at Hamilton: Hotel for a fortnight, On fhe night of the 16th he was taken ill after his long debauch, and was put into the stable, m which were two horses, At four o'clock next morning he was very bad, and he Jied during the day. An inquest was held, The post mortem examination showed that ■' deceased had received serious injuries on his head' and body, evidently caused by the horses, The inquiry stands adjourned.
