Clever Pupils Provide Interesting Programme
FINE EFFORT FOR ALL SAINTS’ CHILDREN’S HOME
Pupils of Miss Eldred, assisted by pianoforte pupils of Miss Rawlins and dancing pupils of Miss J. Heyward (Feilding) provided delightful entertainment last evening at All Saints’ Parish hall in a programme of pleasing variety and outstanding merit. The items were most happily chosen and included playettes attractively presented, humorous and character recitations, also monologues, musical items and dance 3, tho high standard attained throughout reflecting the greatest credit on their teachers. The opening playette was a birthday party, to which the guests brought their gifts and contributed items. The secret of this was revealed at the conclusion of the programme when Canon Woodward was asked to accept tho gifts on behalf of the children in All Saints’ Children’s Home. Opportunity was then taken by Canon Woodward to express thanks to Miss Eldred and all who had assisted towards tho entertainment, for their splendid effort for the Children's Home. Appreciation of Miss Eldred’s good work was also shown by the pupils, several of whom presented her with floral tokens. Mr. G. Bettle made an excellent Master of Ceremonies, and during the evening returned thanks to the audience for their hearty appreciation. Mr. C. W. Teppett rendered good service as tho accompanist.
