Rangitikei County Council advised that favourable tenders had been received for tar-sealing the WangaehuBulls main highway and intimated that the work will be put in hand when a decision had been made. —Received.

Bulls-Ohakea Sports Club applied for permission to make a charge at the sports meeting on the Bulls Domain on Saturday, February 25. —Granted under the usual conditions. Swimming Baths For Bulls. A deputation headed by Mr. J. Campion waited on the board with a proposal for the establishment of a swimming baths in the Bulls Domain, seeking assistance in financing the scheme. Mr. Campion explained that the proposed baths would be 75 feet by 34 feet, being 3 feet 6 inches deep at one end and 6 feet at the other, the project being estimated to cost £210. In support of the deputation's request, Mr. Ralfe suggested that the money would be raised from the bank, backed up by a series of promissory notes as was done in forming the tennis courts.

Other members spoke in support of the scheme and the chairman suggested that it might be better to have the proposed baths erected in the Town Board’s area as the Domain Board as a body could not give any assistance. He also advocated the holding of a public meeting to consider the scheme. Commissioners Holland and Broughton were not in favour of the board having anything to do with the control or responsibility of the baths, but were quite agreeable to have the baths being vested in the board. The chairman and Commissioner Price agreed that the board would be prepared to give a site and lend support to tho project, the former agreeing to preside at a meeting on Wednesday, February 22.
