Touring English Lady Golfers
VISIT TO NEW ZEALAND UNLIKELY
. LONDON, Feb. 8. The Ladies’ Golf Union at a general meeting recommended the executive to abandon tho proposed Australian and New Zealand tour, but not that to Africa.
Lady Denman said she did not believe that. New Zealand and Australia would take the decision adversely. The postponement wa’s duo to tho length of the tour. The best English players at tho top of their form were required to play Franco and America in 1934, and she was of opinion that only tho best should go to Australia and New Zealand. Mrs. Herbert regarded it as a great national calamity not to make the tour. It would bo disappointing both to Australia and Now Zealand, she said. Mrs. Lewis Smith suggested a tour in 1935.
