Social at Taonui

From Our Own Correspondent. There was a good attendance at the euchre party held in the Taonui school :on Friday evening last. The games were keenly contested and resulted in Miss F. Price wanning the ladies’ prize, while Messrs S. Hocken, Allerby, H. Jefferies . and 'N. Rosaman drew for the men’s prize, Mr. H. Jefferies proving successful. The ladles’ consolation prize went to Miss Amy’Heard and after drawing with Master H. Beatson, Mr. N. Cheetham annexed the men’s.
