Mr and Mrs It. Pearce, Wellington, aro visitors to Palmerston North for the Pearce-Nash wedding to-day.
Dr. Winifred Morton, of the Palmerston North Hospital staff, left last week on a holiday visit to Sydney.
Miss M. Warren roturnod to Palmerston North yesterday after a visit to friends in the Pahiatua district.
Miss M. Wilkinson is a Hamilton visitor to Feilding and is tho guest of Mrs John Graham.
Nurse O. Gould, of Auckland, is spending some weeks in Feilding before taking up her profession in Wellington.
Mrs John G-ouM of Feilding, accompanied by her daughter, Mrs Don Fraser (Dannevirke), is at present spending a holiday at Botorua.
Mr and Mrs Frank Symes and their small daughter, of Talcaka, Nelson, have returned home after a visit to Mr and Mrs J. S. Tingey, Feilding.
Miss Veronica Flanagan has returned to Wellington after a visit to Mr and Mrs F. W. Go wing, Hcretaunga street.
After an enjoyable holiday spent in Taranaki and Hawke’s Bay, Mrs L. A. Gardiner has returned to Palmerston North.
Tho friends of Mrs F. T. Ladd, of Pahiatua, will regret to learn that she has had to enter a private hospital foT an operation and will wish her a speedy recovery.
Mr and Mrs Hole and Miss Freda Hole, of Hatuma, Hawke’s Bay, also Mr and Mrs H. B. Stuckey, Dannevirke, will be visitors to Palmerston North to-day for tho wedding of Miss Dorothy Bodgors to Mr B. Dossor.
Miss McKinnon, of Hastings, arrived in Feilding yesterday to take up duty in the Schools’ Dental Clinic in association with Nurse Wimsett. Miss McKinnon will remain in Feilding for a period of about four months.
Mrs Alec Crawford, president of the Wanganui Croquet Club, has been invited to manage the New Zealand croquet, championship, which will be held in Christchurch. Mrs Crawford’s work as an organiser was thoroughly appreciated at the championship meeting hold in Wanganui in 1932.
At the monthly meeting of the District Nursing Guild held yesterday sincere regret was expressed that Mrs L. A. Abraham had become ill while visiting Wellington. Tho chairman (Mr J. A. Nash) made feeling reference to Mrs Abraham’s long record of fine service for the Nursing Guild, his remarks being unanimously endorsed. Tho secretary was authorised to write to Mrs Abraham extending sympathy in her Illness with best wishes for a spccclj restoration to health.
