From Our Own Correspondent Miniature Rifle Shooting.

There was a good attendance at the weekly practice Monday night when some very creditable scores were registered. \V. Jenkins secured a double possible, single possibles being secured by Percy Gedye, F. Lumsden, Ken Lumsden, Roy Lumsden, K. l/’caroe and 11. McKegney. The winners of the Frisk buttons for this week were W. Jenkins (A grade) and Jercy Gedye (B grade). Detailed scores were as follow:—V. Monday night was the first shoot for a trophy donated by Mr. Bailey, of Bulls, for an aggregate score, competitors to fix their own handicaps. A number of the local club members are going to Wanganui for the Association shoot to be held there.

The Sanson Women’s Institute committee, together with their four representatives for the jubilee committee, met on Monday night to discuss plans for their purt in the jubilee procession. It was decided to make application for the use of a county lorry and to meet again next Tuesday afternoon to further the plans. November being the institute’s birthday month, it, was decided to hold the regular meeting on Wednesday . afternoon, November 15, and to invite neighbouring institutes to attend. Mrs. A. K. Drew's offer of a birthday cake was gratefully accepted.
