Feilding Municipal Band

MEETING OP COMMITTEE The committee of the Feilding Municipal Band met on Thursday evening, Mr T. Collins presiding. There were also present Messrs O. Wilkinson, W. 11. Clayton, O. Scotncy, E. Hastie, B. Garlick, H. Hope, N. C. Harding (secretary) and Conductor Lowe. The bandmaster reported that during the past month there had been IS rehearsals by the band and two publics concerts. Mr Hope was instructed to examine the bandroom for necessary repairs. Messrs Hope and Sporle were aR< pointed visitors for tho month. It was decided to write to the mem. her for Oroua regarding the hand’s opportunity to ho included in a future art union. The committee agreed to the hand entering the local carnival jointly with, the fire brigade. A reply was received from Mrs E, E. Short "on behalf of the district Women’s Institutes agreeing to combine with tho band committee in a series of concerts, Mr Collins is to confer with Mrs Short and make the necessary arrangements.
