Voss has been appointed to a position on tho executive of the Palmerston North branch of the R.S.A. to fill tho vacancy caused by the transfer of Mr A. W. Mcwton, to Christchurch.
The death has occurred in London of Mr. John Ivirkley Campbell, a native of Nelson, who retired in 1925 after 5(1 years’ service in tho London office of the New Zealand Government. At the time of his retirement, Mr. Campbell was assistant-secretary to tho High Commissioner.
Rev. F. A. Cranshaw, New Zealand secretary for the Mission to Lepers for the past live years, has accepted the position of general secretary for Australia for the same mission. Mr Cranshaw will have his headquarters in Melbourne, and expects to commence his work there at the beginning of January next. At present he is in Auckland doing deputation work.
Lieutenant-Commander W. H. BrCmner, D.. 5.0., D.S.C., E.N., who recently returned to England from service at the Navy Office in Wellington, and who has now been appointed for duty with the League of Nations Committee as from September S, will be assistant, to Admiral Bellairs, who is the Navy representative on the League of Nations Committee. Lieutenant-Commander Bremner served w r ith distinction in command of coastal motor-boats during the war.
