NEW ZEALAND WINS TEST. United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. BEISBANE, Oct. 5. The concluding series of boxing tests between New Zealand and Australia attracted a big crowd to tho Brisbane stadium to-night. Giving a clever exhibition of glovo work and determined, hard hitting, W. Purdie (New Zealand), fist. 91b., technically knocked out R. Nixon, lOst. 41b., in tho third round in tno lOst. 71b. division.
Then H. Neal (New Zealand), list. 511 b., knocked out L. Colton, lOst. 9§lb., in the second round of the list. 61b. division.
With a big advantage in -weight, A. Ifiridesay (New Zealand), 13st. 101 b., ■was able to slog his way to victory in the heavy-weight class over L. 0. Inship, 12st. ljlb. The Australian was down for nine four times during four ■rounds, but the New Zealander only won on points. M. Hawes, Bst. 111 b., made it a clean sweep for New Zealand and clinched the test by six matches to four when he outpointed P. Hallas, Dst., in one of the best fights of the night in the Dst. division.
