Spanish Labour’s Fears of Coup d’Etat

As a precaution during the Ministerial crisis, the President has proclaimed, a state known as prevention, which is a preliminary to martial law. The Lcrroux Government continues to function temporarily. Tho Socialists arc stated to be preparing a general strike* On the other hand, tho Labour Press affirms that tho military is preparing another coup d'etat.
A communiquo issued says that tho state of prevention applies at present only in Catalonia, where electricity and gas workers are on strike. Great nervousness prevails throughout tho country, most Spaniards do jnanding a dissolution of the Cortes.
