Manawatu Kernel Club

(To tho Editor.) Sir,—As a member of tho Kennel Club I learn with, deep regret that there seems to be no chance of any dogs being seen at the coming’ show. Surely the A. and P. Association will stop and think what this will mean to it. It may appear a “penny wise” move, but I am afraid it will prove many “pounds foolish.” I believe even yet it is not too late. Come, let us reason together and all will bo well. Let us take a look at other A. and P. Associations, and see what experience has shown them. Auckland association subsidises the Kennel Club to the tunc of three figures, and does everything in its power to promote the dog section. Tho Danncvirke A. and P. Association has built a splendid shed for the dog world. Hawke’s Bay Association, the Master-ton Association, and nearly every other old-established body provides good accommodation; even Carterton folk have woke up to the importance of the dog show. Now, Sir. from what I can gather Manawatu Association is the only one hampering our cause. Surely it can sec what benefit these other associations are getting from the dog world. Trusting, Sir to seeing an abler pen than mine take up this matter.—l am, etc., JOHN CHRISITIE. 199 Shamrock street, P.N.
