BRITISH EMPLOYMENT FIGURES STEADILY MOUNTING. United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, October 9. The Labour Ministry announced that 86,000 more were employed at September 25th than at August 21st for which the number was 792,000 more than a year ago, or 660,000 if allowance is made for persons then involved in the cotton dispute. Employment has improved in the coal mining, iron and steel, engineering, textile, and boot industries. The number of unemployed at September 25th was 2,336,727,
