Successful Bridge Evening at Kiwitea
From Our Own Correspondent. A jolly and most successful bridge evening in aid of funds for the Feilding Plunket Society was held on Tuesday at "Rhynni,” Kiwitea, the picturesque home of Mrs. M. Perry and her daughter, Miss Ina Perry. Mrs. .1. E. .Tenkinson (president of the Feilding branch) look out a large party from town to join in with the country players and file Kiwitea-Kfm-bolton sub-branch, with the help of a number of outside friends, provided a, delicious supper. Mrs. and Miss Perry, apart from lending their home for the occasion, rendered, every assistance to the organisers and arranged very beautiful decorations in the dining and drawing rooms, the folding doors between which were thrown open to give added space. The adornment of the rooms was carried out with a profusion of gorgeous tulips, anemones and. ranunculi, from (lie lovely garden of '‘Rhynni” and were greatly admired. Thirteen tables were occupied and several non-players were ulso present. The prizes were donated by Mrs. .T, D. Hocking, Mrs, A. Kidd, Mrs. C. I). Williams and Mrs. W. Clapham (ail of Kiwitea) and wore won by Miss Armstrong (Feilding), Mr. Dennis Ross (men’s first and hidden number), Miss Helen Hair and Mr. J. Sainsbury. Mrs. 1.. Williams (president of the Kiwilea-Kimboiton sub-branch) presented the trophies and Mr. F. C. Ross, on her behalf, thanked those in attendance for their patronage, and Mrs, Perry and her daughter for the use of their home and very kindly assistance in connection with the evening.
