From Our Own Correspondent,
The newly appointed trustees for the Apiti cemetery are Messrs W. J. Osborne, J. F. K. Jensen and Jas. Kearney, jimr., who win act in conjunction with the present trustees, Messrs Hugh Osborne and E. H. Cummerfield. Miss Airey, of Teniuka, who lias been liolidaving in Rotorua, is now visiting Mrs. W. T. Pratt.
Airs. Varlie, of North Auckland, has been the guest of Air. and Airs. T. Nix. Air. AV. R. Pratt is going on a health recruiting holiday to Picton. Messrs H. AVildbore and A. Benseman represented the Apiti .School Committee at the School Committees’ Association meeting held in Palmerston North on AVednesday evening. Air. Alfred Kidd, of Kiwitea, the supervisor of group 3 of the Calf Club, visited Apiti during the week-end and earmarked tho 14 calves entered by Apiti children in the calf rearing competition. The collectors for the AVar Memorial fund have commenced tho canvass of the district. The ladie3 of the Presbyterian Guild met at the Alanse on Tuesday afternoon. Arrangements for the annual sale of work which is to be held this month were finalised. A dainty afternoon tea was served by Aliss M. Paterson,
