Those who felt that, their active tennis days wero over might well oiler to assist tho administrative side and so help to maintain an efficient organisation. Mr. Harding went on to refer to tho matter of the pavilion which, he felt, was a long way short of the needs of tho club. Ho was of the opinion that the club should set its heart upon building a new pavilion and was confident that a new and more commodious edifice could be provided if members got together. He had gone into tiic matter of cost and also plans and proposed to have the matter taken up by the committee. Mr. Harding then invited Mr. C. E. Taylor, tho Mayor, to address tho gathering. He congratulated the club upon possessing such a splendid property and in wishing members a. successful season, expressed the view that the club was fortunate in having such au efficient officer as Mr. Harding as president.
