Obituary
MRS. ANNIE HERLIHY
On Soptomber 28 tbero passed, away at the private hospital in Fcilding, after a very short illness, Mrs Annie Eerliiy, relict of Mr David Herlihy, rvho predeceased her just 16 montlis ago. Born, in Geirteen, Galway, Ireland, nearly 61 years ago, she came to Now Zealand to her sister, Mrs M.< Walsh, of Rongotea, SI years ago. Two years later she married and came to roside at Aorangi, where she holpod to carve out a homo from what was then standing bush and stump land. Requiem Mass was celebrated by the Rev. Father Hegarty, at which there was a large congregation. Father Herlihy, of Palmerston North, was assisted by Father Hegarty at the graveside. The large cortege that followed .the mortal remains to the cemetery showed esteem for the deceased. There is left a grown-up family of a son and three daughters to mourn the loss of a devoted mother. The pall-bearers were Messrs Herlihy (son), J. Ward (nephew), Hughes, Davies, ‘O’Hagan and Quirke.
