Pollard Prices Rise

DOMINION SHORTAGE DECLARED. It was learned yesterday that there is a shortage of pollard and that Dominion stocks are being supplemented by importations from Australia. The shortage is said to be due to tho poor milling quality of last season’s wheat and the generally unfavourable season. In consequence of the shortage the price has takeii a sharp rise and tho limited stocks offering in Feilding yesterday were offered at £1 a sack. Poultry-keepers will find the increased cost of fowl food a problem since the return from eggs will not balance the account.
