SHIRLEY TEMPLE BALLOON MATINEE A monster Shirley Temple ballroom matinee has been arranged by the management of the State Theatre for tomorrow afternoon in conjunction with the screening of Paramount’s epic “The Texas Rangers." At the special matinee every bey and girl will receive free a huge balloon with a beautiful picture of Shirley Temple inscribed on it. These balloons have been sent specially from Hollywood by Shirley Temple herself and will be eagerly sought after by all children. As the supply is limited it will be wise to come early There is also a special Popeye cartoon being screened and altogether a great treat is in store for ah children who attend this great matinee at the State Theatre to-morrow, starting at 2 P-m. __ __ The monthly meeting of the Palmerston North Plunket Society takes place in the City Council chambers this afternoon at 2.30 o’clock.
