(Special to “Times”). WAIPAWA, Feb. 19. Miss K. Todd has returned to Waipawa from an extended, visit to Auckland. COURT LITTLEJOHN MEETS AT ONGA ONGA. The fortnightly meeting of Court Littlejohn, A.0.F., was held at Onga Onga last evening, C.R. Bro. R. Dunkin presiding over a large attendance of members and visitors. The District (J.R., Bro. Kinsley, and the district officers were in attendance. Past C.R. Bro. H. Tuohy, now resident in Woodville, was also present. Five new members were initiated into the lodge, the ceremony being carried out by the District Chief Ranger and his officers. One candidate was proposed for membership. The district secretary gave a resume of the business done at tile district conference. At the conclusion of the meeting a social hour was held, supper being served by the ladies. FAREWELL PARTY FOR MRS. TREVOR BLACK. A very enjoyable afternoon was spent yesterday at the fesidence of Mrs W. L Limbrick, Ruataniwha street, Waipawa, the occasion being a party given by Mrs Limbrick and Mrs Trevor Black for the Misses Clarice and Phyllis Jull, who leave next week on a holiday visit to England. Upon their arrival tho guests weer shown into the spacious drawing-room, where bowls of dahlias, hydrangeas and asters in tones of pink and heliotrope lookc.T most artistic. Mrs Limbrick and Mrs Black received their guests, the former wearing a very smartly-cut afternoon frock of heavy black silk relieved with touches of white, while the latter looked charmiug in a model frock in tones of brown. Miss E. Limbrick, who assisted the hostesses, lookod smart in a slim-fitting frock of electric bfluc, patterned with a floral design. Several competitions were enjoyed by the ladies and caused quite a lot of amusement, the winners being Mrs V. Douglas and Miss Witherow. After a particularly dainty afternoon tea, which was served in the dining-room and on the sun--1 porch, the guests took tho opportunity of wishing the travellers ’‘bon voyage.” The party broke up to the singing of “Auld Lang Syne,” and with all good wishes for the happiness of tho departing guests. 1 SOCIAL EVENING. A very jolly little party took place last night at the residence of Mr and Mrs F. A 'Deane, Windsor Hill, Waipawa, when some 30 young people gathered there at the invitation of Mrs A'Deane to attend a party in honour of the successful candidates in the re-1 cent matriculation examination. The evening passed pleasantly with games and dancing, everyone thoroughly en-, joying themselves. A delicious supper, served by Mrs A’Deane, was after-1 wards partaken of and dancing was igain resumed until midnight, when I Jr A’Deane thanked the young people or their attendance.
