FEILDING'S RESPONSE TO CHRISTMAS PARCELS
Quota Will be Well Met Yesterday the FeOding Patriotic Society Teas able to announce that the difficulty over suitable one pound tins for use in baking Christmas cake for Christmas parcels for our troops overseas, had been solved by a generous gift from the Glaxo Company at Bun'nythorpe. This valuable material help ie greatly appreciated and eliminates what was becoming a real problem. Packing cases have also come in and this will enable the packing of the parcels to be proceeded with over the weekend. The task of. making up the parcels which is to be undertaken by the women’s committee is no light one had they will he busy, l'or many hours completing Feilding’s quota, . which it is anticipated will be met. Yesterday further parcels and donations in goods and cash were received towards the Christmas Parcel Fund and the indications are that each unit of- the Zone area will fullil its obligation. The sum total of parcels expected from the Zone area is 600 and as each parcel costs approximately 10s the value of the gift will be appreciated. Additional cash donations received are acknowledged as follow;
• To-day will be the last day for receiving donations, either in cash or kind, towards the parcel fund.
