Ab predictod by us in yesterdays issue, tho clipper barquo Kate, in command of Captain Cooper, arrived in harbour yesterday, after a good run from Sydney, bringing the English telegrams, by tho Suez mail. The Kate Bailed from Sydney on the 11th instant, and daring the first two days experienced light airs from the eastward, and thence fresh S.E. winds until the 17th. Strong E.N.E. then prevailed until the 20th. Passed Cape. Brett nt noon on the 21st and had light northerly winds on the coast. The Kate brings an unusually largo cargo of general merchandise (as per imports) and the following passengers — Cabin — William Seccomte, W. E. Seccombe. Steerage—W. H. Cook, W. Rouae, W. On the 15th in long, 160-30 and lat. 34'10, passed a double top-sail-yard barque, with white ports, bound to the -westward. We are indebted to Capt. Cooper for supplying us with full files of Sydney papera to the 11 th instant, and other favors.

The b.s. Auckland left Melbourne for Wellington on the loth instant, with a general cargo. The s.s. Ruahine was to leave Sydney for Wellington on the 12th instant. The s.s. Egmont, with the English mail, was to leave Sydney for Wellington,the 12th instant. The cutter Miranda left Wangarei on Sunday lust, and arrived in harbour yesterday afternoon, with 36 tons coals, 1 ton bark, 1 ton gum, a quantity of produce, and G passengers. There were no otner vessels at Wangarei when the Miranda sailed. The Auckland schooner Queen, Captain Veale, arrived at Nelson from Lyttleton on the 15th instant, and on the 28th instant sailed for the Menukau. H.M. s.s. Bosario, hence, arrived at Wellington on the 14th inst. Tho steamer Wallaby is expected in the Manukau to-day or to-morrow, with a number of diggers from the West Coast. The steamer John Penn leaves the Manukau today for the South, and will probably return next week with another batch of diggers. Alabm.—The brig Alarm, from Auckland to Melbourne put into Twofold Bay short of provisions. She was then 24 days out. The s.s. Black Swan has been totally wrecked on the bar at Manning Hirer. She was partially insured.
The Ethan Allan sailed from Auckland on the 21st ultimo, and lias come to this port to load with cargo and paßSbEgers for San Francisco. Strong northerly •winds prevailed for the first seven days out, which prevented her getting round the N:W. Cape ; since then S. and 8.9.15. winds have been experienced.— Sydney Herald, June 8. The cutter Sea Flower, Captain Fletcher, arrived in harbour from the Bay of Islands last evening with a full cargo of Kawakawa coals. The Sea Flower left the Bay on Saturday night at 8 o'clock, and on Sunday morning sighted the three masted schooner Amateur off Cape Brett. The smart little steamer Wanganui, commanded by Captain T.inklater, arrived in harbor yesterday forenoon. She is from New Zealand, and has a reputation of no mean character on the Southern Coast as a fast and commodious boat. The latter principle will be borne out by actual inspection. She has come on to this port to effect repairs to the boi'ers.— Sydney Herald, June 10. H.M.S. Falcon. —This beautiful little clipper sloop of war sailed for England on Saturday, she having been recalled from the station. Commodore Lambert has instructed her to touch at the Auckland Islands, and eeareh diligently for any stranded vessel or shipwrecked crews. She will afterwards proceed direct via Cape Horn. On getting underway the usual salutes were observed by cheering ship between " the homeward bound'' and H.M.S. Oharybdis.— Sydney Herald, June S. H.M.S. Blanche, from Plymouth, appointed for the Australian station, arrived at King George's Sound on the 28th of May. The schooner Captain Cook, from Carpentaria, arrived at King George's Sound on the 31st of May, short of provisions, and left again for Sydney on the 2nd instant.—Sydney He> aid, Juee 8. The steamships Lady Young, Lady Bowen, Queensland, and Emu, formerly owned by the Queensland Bteam Navigation Company, having been purchased by 'he A.S.N. Company, were transferred yesterday. ' The American barque Ethan Allen was towed up tho stream yesterday, by the Culioden steam-1 and borthed alongside the wharf. She is advertised for San Francisco.—Sydney Herald, June 11.
