ARRIVAL OF THE P.M. S.S. AUSTRALIA FROM SAN FRANCISCO.
The P.M. s.s. Australia arrived from San Francisc* at 8 o'clock on Saturday raorniug, making oae the smartest trips on record, the time being 19 days 13 hours 25 minutes. We are indebted to Mr. Thomas Tonge, acting purser, for Press pareals and the following report : Left San Francisco on the 22nd Octobci, discharging the pilot nt 6 p.m. Dense fog until midnight ou the 25:h ; experienced moderate south-weit breeze and cloudy weather. 24th, strong head winds and eea. 25th, 26th, ami 27th, light south-west and variable winds, with i long north-west swell. 28th. light southerly beeze and line weather. 29th, 4.40. p.m., arrived at Honolulu. 30th October, 7.30 a.m., left Honolulu and proceeded for New Zealand with moderate easterly breeze aiiil Ene wenther, moderate eisterly breeze, with occasional shower on the 31st. Same weather, with variable breeze, to the 3rd of November, on which day wo croased the Equator. Light easterly and variable breeze on the 4th and sili of November, and light south-eaeterly breez- 1 and fine weather on the Cth. At 11 a.m., off Tutuila (-amoein Group), stopped the engines, and 11.10 a.m. received passengers and baggage for Sydney. At 11.40 a.m. proceeded. On tbu 7th of November experienced light variable breezes and weather; Bth and 9th, rainy, and variable weather and wiuds. On the evening of 9th, crossed from west to east longitude; 11th, light variable breezes and fine weather ; 12th, 2.25 a.m., sighted Great Barrier Island, at 7 a.m., Tiritiri nbeam, and at 7.35 a.m. received pilot. The Austiali.i resumed her voyage to Sydney at 3 p.m. the same day.
