Messrs Donald Reid and Co. report that prices ruled as under at their auction sale to-day Oats.—We submitted an average catalogue which met with poor competition. A few lots were quitted at Is lOd to Is lid per bushel (Backs extra), but in the absence of buyers tor the class of oafca offered the bulk of the catalogue was passed in for private Sa Wheat.—We submitted several lines medium to good fowl wheat which sold at 2s 3d to 2s iod per, bushel (sacks in). Potatoes. —All Derwents in anythiag like gbod Condition met'with spirited competition and-were sold at highly satisfactory prices. Small lots were not in such strong demand and bad to be quitted at lower lvalues. Best Derwents sold at L 9 to L 9 10s; medium, LBto L 8 15s ; small, L2 to L 3 per. ton (sacks in). r , ■ Chaff —We catalogued a few trucks medium to fair quality.- The demand was oonfined to better quality, medium and light being slow of sale;. We quote prime oaten sheaf, LS 7s 6d to L3los; medium to good, L2lss to L 3 5s per ton (bags extra).
