Captain Edwin telegraphs to-day as follows : Wind.—Moderate to strong from between N.E. and N, and W. at all places north of East Cape, Tanpo, and Raglan ; strong from between W. and S.W. and S. from thence eastward to Napier ; gale from between N.E. and N. and W. after from 10 to 20 honrs elsewhere. Barometer.—Rise slowly north of East Cape, Tanpo, and New Plymouth ; fall at all other places. Sea.—Heavy on west coast south of New Plymouth after 16 to 20 hoars, also on east coast south of Napier. Tides.—High on west coast south of New Plymouth, and on east coast sonth of Napier; moderate elsewhere.
