A meeting of representatives of local bodies- on. Saturday decided that South Canterbury's share of the Dominion Behdati Belief Fund, amounting to £lB2. shall be paid by local bodies m proportion to ratable value. The alternative proposal was that it should he paid according to population. A street collection yesterday ior Fved Cross funds produced £420.
