MYSTERIOUS DISAPPEARANCE.

Wellington. May 10.

Yesterday morning, t'hilip Cameron, a farmer residing at 194 Hutt road, Petone, reported to the police that' three members of his family were missing, having mysteriously disappeared between Friday morning and Saturday night. The missing people are Mrs -Vorah Cameron. Queeuie Cameron, aged 19. and Donald Cameron, aged 14. According to Cameron, who owns a farm at ilurokiwi. he left home at 5.4 on Friday morning to wurk on the property. He did not see the missing people before he left, but, as lie occupies a separate room, this was not unusual. He returned at 7 p.m.. when he found that his wife and two children were absent. Thinking they were at some pictures he retired to bed. He left the house again early on Saturday morning, returning in the evening. As there was no sign of the family then he reported the matter to the police. The peculiar feature of the case is that, according to the clothing le.t, the missing people must have, left only partiallyclad. Two other inmates of the house—little, girls named Dundns—say that at. 6 o'clock on Friday morning they saw the three missing persons running partially dressed on the mad to Petone. All- were barefooted and very scantily clad. The disappearance, is causing exr citemezit at Petone, and developments are eagerly a waited.
