Sealed tenders for the delivery of forage to troopships at Port Chalmers, 'limaru, Lyttelton. and Wellington will be received up till 12 o'clock (noon) on Tuesday, 18th May, 1915. Further particulars will be found in our advertising columns. The sale of Messrs A. Dalgleish's and A. E. Harding's Clydesdale stud on Thursday next, will constitute one of the most important dispositions of imported, horses ever held in the district. Momentum, Auchincruive, Brackenridge, Baron Threave, Bonnie Dlmkeld, Bates, and Mountjoy have all been imported, and the first-mentioned three have established reputations as desirable sires.
On Wednesday next, at 7.30 p.m., in the Druids' Hall, Mr Brown, chief Government poultry expert, will deliver a lecture on poultry and egg production. Mr Silisbury, the newly appointed expert -will also speak. All those interested are cordially invited to he present.
