RIFLE SHOOTING
Members of Ihe Kiwi Defence Rifle Club ami officers and members of C Company. Cargill Battalion. Home Guard, attended a range day at the Pelichet Bay rifle range on Saturday afternoon. The ranges were 300 and 500 yards. Seven shots with an optional sighter were fired at 300 yards, and at 500 yards a shoot for instructional purposes was fired. The shoot at 500 yards was divided into two parts—three shots with one sighter through aperture sights and four shots with one sighter over the adjusted service sight. Considering the difficulty of the exercise, the results were highly satisfactory. The Kiwis and Guardsmen were equally divided into two mixed teams, and the result of the match between the O.C.’s team and the 2lC's team was as follows:
