BARBARIAN. 'TIHIS Thoroughbred Horse will Jl Stand during the ensuing Season ' at Baumai, Bulls, Lower Bangitikei. Babbabian is by the far-famed Traducer ; dam, Barbary (imported), by Simoon', by Camel, by Whalebone, by W»xy, by Pot-8-os, by Eclipse. Traducer by Libel, by Pantaloon, by Buzzard, by Woodpecker, by flerod. Barbarian's dam, Barbary (own sister to the English' Barbarian that ran second for the Derby in 1852) was a good performer. She won the North of Ireland Produce Stakes, 1857 ; also, the National Produce Stako, at Curragh was second to Sprig of Shillelagh for Lord Denham's Plate, same, Meeting, At Auckland, New Zealand, was the winner of the Innkeepers' Plate, and then sold for 450 guineas, and sent to the Stud. Some of : the best stock in this district are descended from this mare, and have shown for themselves the quality of her blood. Traducer is too well known to need much comment, having been the most successful Stud Horse in the Southern Hemisphere every Baee Meeting, either flat or steeplechase, showing the quality and capabilities of his stock ; but breeders should bear in mind that this grand old horse is lost to the Stud, and this fact must necessarily .greatly enhance the value of any stock possessing his blood. . Babbabian is a coal-black horse , of., great power and substance, and the above pedigree will satisfy all who wish to obtain thoroughbred and fashionable blood possessing known j racing and, weight-carrying qualities. He stood for two seasons in t|ie: Wairarapa, where he proved himself 1 a Bure foal-getter, and, though Mis stock have not yet had time to publicly prove themselves, they display such thorough good qualities, and are so generally "Well liked, that he has been detained on this side in an endeavour to sustain the wellknown character of the West Coast horses. i !
