PRINCESS THEATRE.
The Bout and Batchelder's Minstrel Troupe appeared at this place of amusement on Tuesday evening to a fair downstairs house. The programme was entirely different from that given the first night, and was in some respects more enjoyable. Messrs Bent and Hugo again delighted their audience by their clever acting and amusing jokes. The vocal quartettes by Messrs Read, Fredericks... Ball, and Williamson were very fine. A more delightful rendering of " Sweet and Low" we have never heard. Miss Amy Kowe sang the " White Squall " as a tenor solo, and in response to an enthusiastic recall gave a pretty waltz
song. Mr Rowley's clog dance brought him a hearty round of applause, and Hugo Bros, in a comic song and dance were no less successful. Mr Bent, m his inimitable stump speech on the History of England, introduced a number o humourous local hits, which were thoroughly appreciated. The performance concluded with a laughable farce entitled " The midnight intruder," which sent the audience home thoroughly satisfied with their evening's entertainment. Last night the company appeared m another entirely new programme, to a fairly good house. This evening will afford the last opportunity of seeing this company, as they perform at Fielding on Friday, Palmerston on Saturday, and Bull's on Menday evening next.
