ANNOUNCEMENT BY FLOURMILL-

ERS' ASSOCIATION

(Per Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, September 20. The New Zealand Flouraiillers 1 Association announces an advance in the price of flour of 10s. per ton, as from to-day. The present prices are:—Sacks £10 10s., bags £11. 50-lb. bags £11 5e., 25-lb. bags £11 10s. The reason given for the advance is that with wheat selling at current quotations it is impossible to manufacture flour at the old prices. The millers assert that the prices ruling lately have been from 20h to SfOs per ton below wlnat would yield them a fair margin of profit, and that they were enabled to carry on only because they had secured supplies of wheiat when prices were consider ably below present rates.
