LADIES' GOLF CLUB.
Mrs. Mackay's prizes—two beautiful silver-backed mirrors, suitably inscribed —were won in the first division by Miss O. Stanford (2 —all square) and in the second by Miss Nixon (scr —1 up). Other goods cards were handed in by Miss Darley (B—2 down), Mrs. D'Arcy (9—2 down), Miss B. Taylor (s<jr —all square), and Miss Dymock (B—3 down). . Next Wednesday, 25th, the president's prize will be competed for in a putting match for the whole club on the home green, beginning at 2.15. There will also be driving competitions for prizes given by Mrs. J. Watt and Mrs. Vaughan at 1.30. Entries will be received at the club house for approaching matches, first and second divisions, entry Is. Presentations to the champion, Mrs. Cleghorn, jind to the runner-up, Miss Stanford, will be made at 4 o'clock. It is hoped that there will be a- large gathering of Club members to say good-bye to Mrs. Cleghom. A return match, Palmerston r. Wauganui ladies will probably be played on Friday, 29th.
