ENGLISH TEAM LEAVES FOR AUSTRALIA.

On board the Ophir, Mr. C. E. Green proposed.the health of the team leaving for Australia, Avh'ich, he said, if not so representative as could have been wished, was yet a good one. He •was sure every man would uphold the honour of the Marylebone Club and/ England. .■';'•■■■■
Mi\ Jones, in replying, alluded to the difficulties experienced in selecting the team. He regretted that several old hands had cried off, but this would give the young players a splendid chance such as they had never had before.
