Business Notes.
i Mr. J. McFarlane, Avenue, advertises in another.column that he is overstocked in galatea^, uniform cloths, dowlas, foriars, and roller towellings, and intends making special reductions in these lines for the next eight days. As the goods are perfectly new, having jaist been opened, there should be a great demand for them. ! Attention is directed to an advertisement in another column concerning an important clearing sale of stock, farm implements, etc., also complete threshing plant, at Bonny Glen (near Marton), on Friday next, at 1 o'clock. Tdie auctioneers are Messrs. Abraham and Williams, from whom all particulars may be obtained. Members of the Economic Building Society in want of cheap money are reminded that .a sale of £600, in four sums of £150 each, takes place at tonight's pay night. The upset price for these loans is only £15 each, and they are repayable by fortnightly instalments of 10s. for each £150. '- Grea'fc interest is being displayed an the sale of sections in the Marton Extension )Henderson's Estate), which has been cut up and is now being offered to the public. The lithograph plans are now to hand, and are to be seen in several of the business windows in town. From the plan it can be seen fhat this estate is most centrally situated, being exactly between the township of Marton and the Marton Junction. It is thought that the cutting up of this estate will fill a long-felt want, as a section can now be obtained within easy distance of the town, and at the same time having all the advantages of a suburban residence. In the near future with the Main Trunk line completed, this estate must surely become very valuable, as it is at present the nucleus of a. very great business centre. Owing Hio its position, it is practically the hub of the district. So well is this fact already established that quite a number of the sections have now been taken up. As a speculation or investment, no sections have ever been offered in this district, or even in this island, presenting the same advantages. For several yeaa-B the constant thought of many clear, far-sighted men has 'been that the land which connects Maiton with the Junction must be cut up before there could be built up (which is now an almost assured fact), a township to outrival Palmerston North. If one visits and examines the estate one must become absolutely convinced that the Henderson Estate is the great natural centre of the Greater Marton that is to be. The sections are being offered at the lowest price possible. to< cover the neoessany expenses, attendant upon the cutting up of a most desirable property, and the terms of sale have been arranged so that every peirsori may now become I his own landlord. The conditions of ; sale and full details may be obtained from Messrs. Brice, Broad, and Co., or Frank B. Dunne, land agents. Marton.
