NEW PLYMOUTH, December 28. The finials in the New Zealand tennis championships are as follow :— Singles—Parker (Australia) 'beat Quill (Christchurch), 4—6, 6—o, 6—4, 6—3. Doubles.—Dickie and Wallace (Taranaki) beat Fisher and Peacock (Wellington), 7—5, 2—(3 3—6, 6—3, 6—4. Ladies' Doubles.—Misses Nunneley (Wellington) and Kellett Baker (Sydney) -beat Misses Powdrell (Taranaki) and Gray (Auckland), 6—l, 6—B, 6—4. Combined.—H. A. Parker and Miss Powdrell (Taranaki) beat Fisher and Miss Nunneley, 6—3, I—6, 6—2. There was a big attendance and perfect Aveather.
The Taranaki tournament commences on Monday.
AUCKLAND, December 28. The Auckland! provincial tennis championships will be decided next week, commencing on Wednesday and concluding on. Saturday. The entries are the largest in tournament history in Auckland, the total being 213, including those of the visitors from Christchurch, Taranaki, the Waikato, and Whniigarei.
