Also ran —Te Aria, Compass, Golden Bays, and Oakley. Won easily. Flying Hack Handicap.—Signor 1, Little Mary 2, Ikon 3. Also ran— Simplex. Thera, Bonnie Doon. Won by a length.
Ashhursb Guineas.—Prize Bloom 1, Ru 2, Fond Memory 3. Also ran — Medallist, Whakawehi, Fireiron, Merrio Rose, Riflemaid, Moloch, and Saga. Won by a length. Time, 2.9. Komako Welter Hack.—Carrisinia 1, King Post 2, Greenleaf 3. Also ran — Sen Sim. Won by a good length.
Pohangina Handicap.—Dusky Morn 1, Buccleugh 2, Lord Soult 3. Also ran —Chamois. Won by a length.
Maiden Hack Handicap.—Axite 1, Gosomi 2, Conquer 3 . Also ran —Bonnie Doon. Sir Antrim, Commander, San Tas, Caron, Docile, Anglican, Pronoun, Karainga. Won easily. Dominion Handicap.—Lady Disdain 1, Probability 2, San Julie 3. Also ran —Medallist, Aberration, King Post. Won by a hare half-length.
