MARTON BOWLING TOURNAMENT.

Thero "was a large attendance of visitors, "who took a keen intense in the games, particulars of which have already been published. At tlio conclusion of the day's play, the President (Mr. J. McEldowney) addressed the assemblage. Three hearty cheers wore given . fm\ the visitors. Mr. J. A. Nash returned thinks on behalf of the visitors generally, and Palmerston in particular/ for t'jm hospitable treatment they had experienced at the hands o? the Marton Club, mid caled for three cheers for the members, and 0110 for the President. .Afternoon' tea was dispensed under the supervision of Mesdameis Sharpe, Mogridge, Misses Gronn, Niool, Sntcliffe, and MoEldowney. The hon. secretary,- Mr. A. 11. Sutcliffe, is to be commenced1 for his arrangements in connection with the tou'r\nament, everything 'working smoothly from start to finish. The second day (Friday) was beautifully fine, and the programme consisted of doubles and singles, five rinks being occupied. There was again a good attendance in the afternoon.
