MID-NIGHT PROCESSION.

"THE OLD YEAR OUT AND THE

NEW YEAR IN."

As has boon their custom for many years past, the Fire Brigade will hold a, procession to-night in connection with the ceremony of "seeing the old year out and tlio new yen- in." (#The brigade wero hard at work last evening, and have- got some very nice decorations* ready, includinei a tableau. The bands will take part in the procession, whicih promises to b? very interesting.

Following is the route-:—Leaving the St Hill street station ,at 11 o'clock, the brigade will proceed to Guy ton street, thence via Victoria Avenue, to Ridgway street, thence 'to Market Square, along Tiaupo Quay to the Avenue, then along R-idgway .. street- and St. Hill street; then to Taupo Quay, and thence up the Avenue to the Post Office, where the old year -will be •flarcwolled and tho tiowrvear ushered in.

Firemen are requested to turn out with dress, uniforms and caps.
