The Primate, in a letter to Mr. Runciman, reiterates that -the inconsistencies reported regarding contracted out schools 'are the exception, not the imle, while the financial estimates of the ecst under the abandoned Education Bill aro largely conjectural on both rides. He appeals for a further opportunity of reconsidering the Bill, and emphasises the continually growing desiro for a balanced settlement on. the linos of the'-proposed compromise. Thj&^'-'Times " supports the proposal of but recognises that the Government is in a difficulty until there is some central educational agency adequately representing Church opinion as a whole.
