GANUI REGATTA ASSOCIATION.

The annual meeting of the Wanganui Amateur Regatta Association was held on Friday evening, among those present being Messrs Powell (chairman), Bailey, Sharp, James, Martin, Gray, Evans, Corby, Lewis, and Tilley.

ANNUAL REPORT.—The annual report stated that the regatta was held on 25th February, 1900, the programme consisting of 12 races, the prize money totalling £106. Seven different clubs were represented, consisting of the three local clubs, Star (Wellington), Clifton, Waitara, and Napier. The Union Club is to be congratulated on the success of its members, who secured 8 firsts and 1 second out of 12 events, their share of the prize money amounting to £56, a really lino performance. The Wanganui Club, with three firsts and two seconds, secured £27, Star, with one first and two seconds £11, Clifton two seconds £6, Aramoho four seconds £4, and Napier one second £1. The credit balance of the Association now stands at £38 6s Bd, which includes £30 15s 8d in the Post Office and £7 11s in the Bank of New South Wales. The thanks of the Association are due to Messrs P. Lewis, Martin, and Tilley for their services as canvassers, and to Mr Rodwell for auditing the accounts. — The chairman, in moving the adoption of the report, congratulated the Union Club on its success. The motion, which was seconded by Mr Sharpe, was carried.

Todd; umpires, Messrs C. A. Barton and P. Lewis; judge, Mr F. G. Seymour (re-elected): starters, Messrs T. H. James and A. Gray; hon. sec. and treasurer, Mr H. F. Tilley; auditor, M>r vSwan^Ver; committee Mess.re S. Bone, H. Phillips, Gilbert, and Heywood (Aramoho), P. Lewis, P. Bailey, T. T. Bell, and F. D. Banks (Wan^ ganui), Christiansen, Corby, Cottrill, and Martin (Union). DATE OF REGATTA.—The date of the regatta was fixed for Thursday, 17th February, 1910

COMMITTEE.—A committee meetingwill be held on 9th inst.
