The many friends of Colonel Gorton will regret to hear that his health is such as to cause his relations the gravest anxiety.

We understand that Mr R. R. Creagh the newly-appointed engineer for the Gonville-Castlecliff Tramway Board, will arrive in Wanganui on Saturday.

Mr David E. Hutton, who resigned the position of director of the Wanganui Technical School two years ago, in order to study in Great Britain and the Continent, returned to New Zealand by the Moeraki.
