WOMEN'S BRANCH
The monthly meeting of the above was held at the Girls' College -on Monday, sth December. Present: Mesdamet. Siddolls, McKay, Jacob, Payne, Misses Carrie. Inkster, Knapp and' Eraser (in +he chair). PLUNKET NURSE.- Miss Fraser reported rhat tip to data she had received or been promised the sum of £43 7s in annual subscriptions towards the movement, and that this amount received or promised di:l not represent half the circulars sent ant. Lady Plunket hafe expressed her willingness to speak on behalf of the movement at the presentation of First-Aid certificates to be held at the Girls' College on Thursday; noxt at 3.31). It was also decided that tlic General Council be circularised and urged t& secure as many promises as possible of annual subscription, no matter how small. # CANTEENS.—The following resolution was carried heartily and unanimously : "That this meeting strongly urges upon the . Defence Minister the necessity «<i" prohibitins: the establishment of canteens in connection with military'camps of all kinds." A copy rf this'resolution is to be forwarded to tho Member for the district to be brought at once b3fore the Defence Minister. The next meeting of the Executivewill be held on the second Monday in February, 1910.
