WELLINGTON, December 7. The issue of the dispute about" the labour conditions at the State mine at Point Elizabeth, is still very doubtful. Members of the executive of the Miners' Federation keenly resented the Government's decision that the case Mould have to be put in writing before the Cabinet would agree to receive a deputation. At the delegates' conference last night the opinion was expressed and strongly supported that the Government should be given only a day in which to make up its mind in this matter. Failing a satisfactory reply from the Premier, a member, of. the House of Eepreseutatives would be asked to move: " That Mr Ssmple, the President of the State Miners' Union, should be allowed to state the. strikers' case on the floor

of the House. Up to one o'clock to-day no appointment between the contending parties had been arranged.
