TWO DROWNING ACCIDENTS AT PAHIATUA.

PAHIATUA, December 6. Oliver Johnston, a rabbiter, about 25, and single, was drowned in the Aohanga River, at the crossing to Handysides, about nine last night. Ernest Cooling, shepherd, single, was drowned in the same river at the Waioti Eki Ford about ten last night. The river was flooded on account of a heavy thunderstorm, which occurred yesterday afternoon along the Puketoi Range.
