INQUEST.
WELLINGTON, December 7
At the inquest on Edwin Cox, an old-age pensioner, who was killed by a train at Petone, the evidence showed that deceased had ample warning, but apparently changed his (mind about going over the crossing, and practically walked right into the engine. A verdict of accidental death was returned, n, rider being added that the officials were not to blame.
